This week-long day camp at Clear Creek History Park will introduce kids to the excitement and adventure of pioneer life. In the late 1800s, thousands of people moved westward in search of a better life. Some searched for gold. Some wanted free land and wide open spaces. Throughout the week, children will experience what it was like to travel west from start to finish as they pack up their wagon, begin their journey, encounter friendly Native Americans along the way, set up their new homestead, pan for gold, make butter and pie, care for their chickens and garden, and finally meet their neighbors and make new friends at pioneer school as their new community grows. This hands-on experience will surely become one of your child’s most cherished memories. Sign up now. Our chickens are waiting for you!
